Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre
Zebra is not a direct reporting source. They take referrals from our onsite and community partners including the Edmonton Police Service, RCMP and Edmonton and Area Child & Family Services. When a report of abuse is made to these agencies, their goal is to bring that child in for his or her forensic interview within seven days or less - often within hours in a crisis situation.
Support provided by Zebra Centre includes: Child Advocacy, Forensic Interviews, Very Important Paws (Dog Support Program for in centre and courthouse), Hope’s Toy Closet, Backpack Program, Care Calls, Crisis Response, Trauma Referrals, and Court Accompaniment.

Caribou Child & Youth Centre
Caribou is not a direct reporting source. The Caribou Centre was designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment where children could disclose abuse, thus, reducing the trauma and anxiety for these young people. The centre seeks to provide children and their families with one single point of contact to assist them throughout the process; from initial disclosure, through investigation, court proceedings, and any ongoing support or therapeutic treatment that is necessary. Their goal is to ensure that children are not re-victimized by the very systems designed to protect them.
In 2015, the Caribou Centre received provincial funding through Alberta Justice and Solicitor General to hire a dedicated children’s therapist that works with victims and their families. They believe that everyone dealing with, or experiencing crisis and trauma has the right to access skilled, caring, and professional services.
Support provided by Caribou Centre includes: Court Support, Family Advocacy, Forensic Interviews and Therapy.
